Karmic patterns holding back the gifted & old souls

Throughout my life, I have encountered many brilliant and gifted souls. Women who could beautifully play instruments, identify the spiritual issues plaguing people and heal them, and women of high caliber intelligence. Similarly, I have known men of great vision, intellect, and favour. These people have not just been ‘talented’ in the general sense but anointed with great power to deliver a God-given purpose. While it can be tempting to solely focus on the great potential these people possess, to do so is to do them a massive disservice.

I say this because gifted souls and old souls incarnate into the 3D realm with karmic patterns. From my understanding, karmic patterns are imprints on our spiritual identity that can cause great havoc, or tragedy should we be unaware of them or not rise to the occasion to overcome. Karmic patterns in our soul can stem from our lineage, our spiritual identity, and sometimes our own actions. Karmic patterns which have the potential to manifest into karmic cycles are triggered by traumatic events or our actions.

Some of the karmic imprints gifted souls may find themselves grappling with include, but are not limited to:

·      Engaging in pleasure seeking behaviours to the point of self-destruction

·      Finding comfort in abusive relationships or not problematizing abuse in relationships/friendships

·      Making decisions out of comparison or jealousy, making decisions due to deep feelings of fear of the unknown, low-self-worth, and deep feelings of lack

·      Acting out of haste, lust, and the ideation because they feel they have been starved or deprived of something

·      Finding pleasure in rage or revenge due to deep feelings of betrayals

 For example, a woman who bears the identity of a High Priestess or a healer may have the wound of never fitting in or being rejected because of her power and difference. In her ignorant or underdeveloped state, she may be prone to doing anything she can to be accepted by her peers and lovers. This can trigger the karmic pattern of excessive people pleasing to the point where it becomes destructive for herself or others. She may find herself in cycles of abusive relationships where her power is siphoned from her and friendships where she is betrayed to extreme levels because her friends secretly envy her. While the priestess may think the betrayals and abuse, she experiences is just ‘bad luck’, it is a carefully orchestrated relationship between her ignorance of her power, her dispositions e.g. haste, impatience, being rash as well as oppositional forces that seek to destroy her because of her power and her purpose on earth.

While gifted souls also incarnate with wounds from past lives such as ‘never fitting in’ used in the example above, it is precisely our individual dispositions and characteristics when underdeveloped AND oppositional spiritual forces that can make us more susceptible to entering karmic cycles or not completing them. For example, oppositional spiritual forces such as dense spiritual attachments or possessions can use your impatience or haste to inflict certain harms on your life. It is crucial to remember oppositional spiritual forces thrive when the gifted soul is ignorant or has certain behavioural characteristics that can destroy them because they are more likely to make self-destructive decisions.

Gifted souls may be more prone to the temptations of the lower ego relating to lust, jealousy, impatience, a sense of superiority, or addictions – we have seen this many times with celebrities whom despite their one in a million talent fell victim to certain temptations they could not unravel themselves from. The wounds the gifted feel can literally feel inescapable especially when there is lack of self-knowledge or they are hell bent on going against the natural flow of their life which can look like making decisions that are diametrically opposed to the highest good of your life or at least the current timeline you are in.

The wounds of the gifted which can cause them to take actions that propel them into karmic cycles can sound like the following: “I need to be accepted” “my life has to look like everybody else’s” “being on my path is so complex and painful” “why can’t I enjoy life like everybody else and why do the rules of my life seem stricter than everybody else’s?” “I will not be accepted if I am myself” “why does everybody else have it easier than me?”. For the gifted, these are not mere feelings or questions that come and go, these are existential themes they must grapple with.

Countering the heavy, dense, and dark forces the gifted face is not a quick fix. I don’t say this to demoralize you; on the contrary I want you to see your soul’s evolution as a lifetime of embodiment work. Ultimately, you are here to embody a certain identity the Most High and your spiritual team brought you here to embody irrespective of whatever trauma, curse, karmic imprint your soul bears.

To embody this identity (whether you have a full grasp of it of a feeling of it), you MUST accept that you are here to live life in accordance and in harmony with what has been originally designed for you. No matter how strange, unconventional, chaotic, slow your life may have been so far, you ought not to reject it nor yourself in the process. To live in harmony with your path means dropping all false identities, attachments, and desires that are not for your highest good. While this is a painful and transformative experience, believe me when I say this is what will liberate you. To become everything you are meant to be, you must unbecome everything you are not. This transformative process will allow you to see yourself, to see your life clearly which is essential because oppositional forces will seek to distort your reality.

For example, it may take longer for your dreams and visions to manifest in the 3D, or they may manifest in unconventional ways. During periods where it seems like nothing is happening or it seems like everybody else gets to hit milestones in their life while you are going through more transformations you must relinquish thoughts such as “why does my life seem cursed?” “Why do others get to quickly have what they desire”. The unevolved gifted soul will drown in those thoughts and energetic states while the evolved soul will rest in comfort knowing that all they have to do is to stay aligned. In fact, the gifted are required to do less than the average person because their purpose is needed and must manifest, so the Most High and universal forces just need you to comply.

Understand that it takes more energy to go against the grain of your life than it takes to stay aligned. As a gifted soul, your role is to allow the transformations to happen despite how painful or slow while knowing that you are always knowing that you are being guided. Unlike most people, you don’t require the noise and flaky trends of the masses to reach great heights because of the kind of forces guiding you based on ancient wisdom as supposed to superficial trends. Remember that you are always going to be going through a process of refinement and that embodiment work is a lifetime’s worth of work which is both transformative and pleasurable. As you go through this process, you will realise the life you wanted has always been available for you, but you must live in harmony with your higher self which means dropping the things and attachments holding you back while bravely taking the steps of courage and discipline required of you.
